The Flint Farmer's Market

The Flint Vampire Ball is a fundraiser for the Farmer's Market so I figured I would share this info since it does pertain to Flint Fang Fest.


I love the The Flint Farmer's Market, it is an absolute gem.

An amazing Farmer's Market in downtown Flint that features fresh produce from local farms, urban farms and community farms. Now they're trying to open two more locations so everyone has access. I'm all for this wonderful opportunity.

Please Support our Neighborhood Markets!  Do You LOVE The Flint Farmers' Market? If so, you can become a part of our market   in a special way this summer by helping us   bring fresh produce to those who can't get to our downtown market. Your donation of $10, $25, $50 or $100 (or more) on Indiegogo.com today will help us make it possible for seniors and those without transportation to put fresh fruits and vegetables on their tables this summer. Two neighborhood markets will be set up in Flint, one in the north end and one in the south end.  Each will feature one of our well known farmers along with local urban and neighborhood gardeners.  These sites will be open on off-market days in the afternoon for just a few hours.  Our hope is that these small outreach sites will truly impact the health and well being of those in our community who are most in need.  Both neighborhood markets will be set up to accept Bridge Cards and Double Up Food Bucks cards. The idea for Flint Fang Fest has been lurking in the back of Roxanne Rhoads, paranormal author and publicist's, mind for some time, but this year- she decided to make it a reality.


The idea is for Fang Fest to be a week of vampire and paranormal themed events that help boost the economy of the area and put Flint on the map for something positive instead of the negative reasons that usually make the news.


Flint Fang Fest is a week of fun paranormal themed Halloween events in Flint and the Genesee county area- mostly centered in downtown Flint.


Fang Fest will start with the Flint Horror Convention on October 20 and end at The Flint Vampire Ball on October 27.


Throughout the week there will be events all over the area- geared for young and old- something for everyone. From author book signings to a sexy burlesque show performed by the Fischer Bodies.


All donations will be used to fund promotional materials and event expenses for Fang Fest.
